Programme for The Improvement of the Assessment and Quality of Research Centres
The programme for the improvement of the assessment and quality of research centres of Canarian gouvernment is an initiative of the ACECAU, and all the centres for the research of the Canaries may participate in it. Through this programme centres would be assessed from two points of view: research and management, but throughout a common system of management of quality that unifies both perspectives. The evaluation of centres will allow the establishment of plans for the improvement and systems of quality which contribute to the continual improvement of quality. Moreover, the institutional evaluation will consolidate the image of the quality of the centres for research and will also consolidate national and international recognition.
This programme is carried out by means of a protocol presented by the ACECAU. It consists of four stages: self-evaluation, external evaluation, writing of a final report and continuous improvement.
