Constitution of the student´s adviser committee for the university quality (SAC)

The Canarian Agency for Accreditation and Quality assessment of the University System creates student’s committee since the participation of students is considered fundamental into the evaluation process.

ACECAU considers essential students participation as university system users, not only into the evaluation processes-granting them a major validity and reliability- but also as a voice necessary into the configuration of the programs and activities that will be developed by the Agency.

For this purpose, The Students Adviser Committee for the University Quality SAC has been constituted, where a manager, together with three students from each university, and three members from the ACECAU, one official, will be present.

SAC following functions:

• Starting and propelling a formation plan immediately for students on the subject of quality before April and in 2007-08 courses in every university.
• The constitution of a assessors formation bank of students who will be asked to participate in institutional evaluations promoted from the Agency.
• “The guidance, as an interested part into the university processes, on the subject of quality.
