Criteria and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in The European Higher Education Area

This report has been carried out by the european association for quality assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) through the active involvement of its members, in cooperation with EUA, ESIB and EURASHE and through a debate with several areas of reference. The report responds to the two mandates the ENQA was put in charge of by Berlin Announcement, dated September 2003, to develop a set of criteria, procedures and guidelines in quality assurance, about a check system for quality assurance and7or for agencies or organizations of accreditation.

This report has four chapters. After the introductory chapter which deals with the context, objetives and principles, we include other chapters about criteria and guidelines for quality assurance, about a check system by pairs for the agencies for quality assurance and about the perspectives and future challenges. .
