Teaching activity assessment support programme (DOCENTIA)
The Teaching activity assessment support programme designed by ANECA seeks to meet the demand of universities and the needs of the educational system for a model and procedures to ensure the quality of the university teaching staff and to favour its development and acknowledgement.
The aim of the programme is to support universities in the design and application of in-house teaching assessment procedures in order to ensure the quality of their teaching staff and to favour its development and acknowledgement through its external assessment by an agency.
The programme takes into the commitment of ANECA to take part in and support the different frameworks of technical collaboration with the universities, regional agencies and education authorities of the autonomous regions. Along these lines, ACECAU and ANECA have signed an agreement for collaboration to undertake this programme in the area of the Canarian University Teaching, maintaining coherence at all times by using a common model.

After the allegations, the Evaluation Commission has given a positive report from each of the universities, allowing them to begin the implemantion phase of the design activity assessment with a view to teaching certification ACECAU and ANECA from 2007.
