ACECAU Services Charter

The Ministry of Presidency and Justice, throughout the general inspection of services, has decided to carry out the compromise that the  Civil Service had  with the users of public services. It has also decided to encourage management systems of quality.

Through this initiative, the general inspection of services wants to encourage this proximity of Civil Service towards the citizen throughout the promotion, among other actions, of the elaboration and implementation of service charters, mainly in those areas of civil service which affect the user.

Service charters are documents which inform the citizen about the qualities that the public services and provisions have, as well as about his/her rights related to these services. They are the ideal tools for informing citizens  of their rights, due to the fact  that they provide them with a more direct influence on public services.  This encourages the continuous improvement of the quality  of these services, and clarifies  the responsibilities  of public managers with respect to citizens, who are, in fact, the true customers of the civil service.
